Sometimes the social media landscape and the parish chatter can be so filled with the details and harm of the scandals that we lose hope and forget that at the center of our faith and the Church is Christ Himself and our need to trust Him.

So, I felt that renewed call to go back to Him. To run to Him. To know Him in a renewed way through Scripture and Sacrament. To love Him. And to live like Him. And it is a cycle. Once we live like Jesus, we know Him and His love in an even deeper way and the weight of the call to live like Him is that much more serious.

To know Jesus is just a start... to truly trust Him, to love like Him, to speak like Him, and to live like Him is the hard part.
